About CareChecked

CareChecked is a United Kingdom-based verification and discovery platform that connects families with independently vetted care providers. We were founded on a simple principle: families searching for care deserve access to transparent, verified information so they can make informed decisions with confidence.

Our Mission

Finding reliable care — whether for an elderly parent, a child, or someone with additional needs — can be one of the most important and difficult decisions a family faces. Too often, the process involves uncertainty, inconsistent information, and a lack of accessible verification.

CareChecked exists to improve trust in care. We provide families with a platform where every listed provider has been independently checked, and where the depth of that verification is clearly communicated through our trust tier system.

Transparency

We believe families have the right to know exactly what has been checked and what has not. Every provider profile on CareChecked displays their verification status, the specific credentials that have been reviewed, and when those checks were last conducted. We do not obscure this information behind vague labels or marketing language.

Independence

CareChecked operates independently of any care agency, local authority, or provider network. Our verification process is applied consistently to all applicants, regardless of their size, affiliation, or subscription level. Subscription tier affects the number of enquiries a provider can receive and their visibility in search results, but it does not influence the rigour of the verification process.

UK Focus

CareChecked is designed specifically for the United Kingdom care landscape. Our verification processes align with UK regulatory standards, including DBS checks, CQC registration requirements (where applicable), and UK insurance standards. We understand the specific needs and expectations of UK families and the regulatory environment in which UK care providers operate.

Families First

Everything we build starts with the needs of families. Browsing CareChecked is free and does not require an account. Profiles, credentials, and reviews are publicly accessible so families can research providers on their own terms. We do not use aggressive marketing tactics, require commitments before providing information, or prioritise revenue over safety.
