How Provider Listings Work
CareChecked is a marketplace that connects families with verified care providers. This page explains how provider listings are displayed, ranked, and any commercial relationships that may affect what you see.
Listing Display and Ranking
When you search for care providers on CareChecked, results are displayed based on a combination of factors. We believe in transparency about how these rankings work:
- Relevance: Providers whose services, location, and availability best match your search criteria are ranked higher.
- Verification Status: All providers on CareChecked meet the same independent verification standard. Verification is not ranked but is a consistent baseline for all.
- Subscription Level: Providers on higher subscription plans may receive enhanced visibility, including priority placement in search results and featured provider sections. These listings are clearly identifiable.
- Reviews and Ratings: Providers with positive reviews and higher ratings may rank higher in search results.
- Profile Completeness: Providers with more complete profiles, including photographs, detailed descriptions, and verified qualifications, may appear higher.
- Responsiveness: Providers who respond promptly to enquiries may be ranked higher.
Paid Placements
CareChecked offers enhanced listing placements as part of our subscription plans. These paid placements may include:
- Priority positioning in search results
- Featured provider sections on relevant pages
- Enhanced profile badges and visual prominence
Paid placements are always identifiable. Listings that appear in a promoted position are marked with a “Featured” or similar label so that families can distinguish between organic and promoted results.
Subscription Plans and Commercial Relationships
CareChecked generates revenue primarily through provider subscription fees. Providers pay a monthly subscription to be listed on the Platform, with higher-tier plans offering additional features and visibility. Our subscription plans are:
- Verified: Our standard subscription for all providers on CareChecked
- Premium: Enhanced features with increased visibility and priority placement
- Enterprise: Custom solutions for larger care agencies
Importantly, subscription level does not affect our verification standards. All providers, regardless of their subscription plan, undergo the same rigorous verification process. A higher subscription plan does not imply a higher quality of care or more thorough verification.
Independence of Verification
Our verification process is entirely independent of commercial considerations. Every provider on CareChecked meets the same verification standard, regardless of their subscription level or how much they pay. We maintain a strict separation between our verification team and our commercial operations.
Reviews and Testimonials
All reviews displayed on provider profiles are submitted by verified families who have used the Platform. We do not accept paid reviews and we do not allow providers to remove genuine reviews. We do moderate reviews to remove content that is defamatory, offensive, or clearly fraudulent.
